L’Oreal Paris Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation: Review and Swatches

Hello Everyone,

Trying out new foundations is not really new to me. But then, this time I wanted a foundation with light to medium coverage or a foundation that can be applied everyday. And adding to it, it must not make my super oily skin like a disco ball! With so many conditions and requirements, I was in search of a foundation before I could land in Singapore. And honestly I did read reviews about this, but reading reviews has only made deciding even more difficult for me as I tend to carefully invest on cosmetics these days.

Adding to the confusion, the SA handed over the shade #330 - CLASSIC TAN to me when I asked for the product. And it did appear slightly darker than my skin tone, and it still appears the same. But the shade lighter than Classic Tan was a tad bit lighter for my skin tone. which simply means, they did not have the shade matching my skin tone. But I had to had to buy this foundation, for the only reason that it was a liquid to powder foundation, which means the liquid foundation transforms into powder on application.

So I picked up the shade "330 - CLASSIC TAN" and after trying this out i found that it somehow matched my complexion on blending.

PRODUCT CLAIM:
Get the ultimate un-makeup look with Magic Nude Liquid Powder Bare Skin Perfecting Makeup with SPF 18. Revolutionary liquid transforms on contact, leaving a soft powder like finish. This foundation is so amazingly lightweight it’s like wearing no makeup at all! Just shake and apply – it’s magic!

MY REVIEW:

This is a liquid to powder foundation which is light weight and provides less coverage which can be build-able to medium coverage. The liquid foundation is thin and runny and has no noticeable fragrance. The foundation comes in a frosty glass bottle with no pump or dispenser, which is a major drawback for the product as you can get messy handling the product and also not travel friendly.

The foundation almost gives a no-makeup look and this foundation is suitable if you have clear or good skin. Because it gives a light coverage, you will need a concealer underneath the foundation if you have blemished skin.

This almost gives a semi-matte finish to your face and my face felt oily on my T-zone after 5-6 hours. This is a perfect everyday foundation, which is long lasting and stays on for 5-6 hours, also, you would not require to set this foundation with a compact because it already provides a matte to powdery finish.

Being a liquid to powder foundation, it is not suitable for women with dry skin as it tends to get the skin flaky. Also it barely covers any under eye pigmentation or redness.

LIKES:

1. Light weight foundation
2. No-makeup look / everyday foundation.
3. Semi-Matte finish.

DISLIKES:

1. Packaging.

FINAL VERDICT:

So, except for the packaging, I did not have any dislikes about this product. Yes it did turn my T-zone oily but only after 5-6 hours. And this foundation is also long lasting so I would not expect anything more from an everyday foundation. So this product is definitely a MUST-TRY!

MY RATING:

4.5/5
